The leadership roles in a Homeowners Association (HOA)—whether as a member of the Board of Directors or a committee—typically involve supporting key areas such as:
• Fiscal Accountability – Accounting – Assessment Collection – Audit and Tax Preparation – BudgetPreparation – Reserves Planning and Funding – Association Insurance
• Covenant Enforcement – Enforcing Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) andAssociation Policies
• Maintaining the Community – Maintenance of common areas, trails, parks, and recreational facilities(as applicable) – Pool maintenance (if applicable) – Irrigation system upkeep – Lighting and signage –Monument preservation – Landscape maintenance – Snow removal (if applicable)
• Oversight and Support of Committees (Board only) – Providing guidance and oversight tocommittees as outlined in the governing documents and policies.
